Intense aroma of ripe red fruits with hints of rockrose and spices. Balanced with a good presence of fruit and a lingering finish. Excellent as an aperetif or to accompany poultry and meat dishes, smoked sausages, cheese and some fish. Recommended serving at a temperature of 16 to 18ºC. Lello red wine is reborn from the history of the Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges – a pioneering brand of Douro wines. It is a balanced, modern wine, which can be enjoyed all the time. Part of the wine is aged in French Oak casks for between 4 to 6 months Registered in 1913, the Lello brand is part of the history of Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges. The brand’s name harks back to its origins: the Lello family, more specifically Artur Lello and his son, Carlos Lello. Early on, these two joined the Borges family in the management of the company and contributed in a major way to embedding the know-how and art of making good wine.The name Lello has been kept on as a tribute to the family.
